One thief took a break from stealing. And during that break he cooked khichuri. But he was caught by the police for cooking khichuri. The incident took place in the Indian state of Assam.
According to The Hindu, the thief broke into a house in Hengrabari area of Guwahati as he had no owner. But in the middle of the theft, the man started cooking khichuri in the empty house. Hearing the sound of cooking, the neighbors sensed the presence of a thief in the house. They later caught the thief and handed him over to the police.
The Assam Police has ridiculed the incident on Twitter. Guwahati police arrested the thief on Twitter.
In a tweet with a picture of Khichuri’s pot on Tuesday, Assam police said, ‘Strange incident of food thief! Despite the many health benefits, cooking khichuri can be detrimental to you when trying to steal. The thief has been arrested and Guwahati police are serving him some hot food.
