The Annual Convention, Canada’s largest and longest-running Muslim event, known as Jalsa Salana Canada, concluded successfully on July 13, 2025. This grand convention took place at The International Centre.
Over 23,000 attendees from 47 countries, including non-Muslim guests, participated in Jalsa Salana Canada. The event was also broadcast live on Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA), and through various social media channels, hundreds of thousands of viewers worldwide watched the proceedings.
More than 6,000 volunteers dedicated countless hours to ensure the success of Jalsa Salana Canada. The convention featured immersive presentations, ethnic bazaars, art exhibits, poetry, and much more. Throughout the three days, over 150,000 freshly prepared meals were served to attendees.
A special panel discussion was held, featuring expert panellists including Amira Elghawaby, Canada’s Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia. Elected officials from all levels of government attended the event, including Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow.
Mayor Patrick Brown of Brampton announced the naming of “Ahmadiyya Gate” in Brampton, Ontario, and delivered a special presentation highlighting the bonds between the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada and the City of Brampton.
One of the convention’s objectives was to address increasing divisions in Canada resulting from global conflicts.
“In contrast to those who sow seeds of division, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at uses Jalsa Salana as a platform to bridge divides and promote peace and unity,” stated Mr. Lal Khan Malik, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada. “People of various faiths, backgrounds, and ethnicities gathered during these three days in a spirit of togetherness.”
