One of the passengers of Monday’s deadly US-Bangla aircraft crash shared his harrowing story of survival.

Nepali citizen Basanta Bhora, an employee of Raswita International Travel and Tours told The Kathmandu Post that there were several Nepalis from various travel agencies on the plane who had gone to Bangladesh for a training.

Bhora said that the takeoff was normal from Dhaka, but when the plane was about to land in Kathmandu it began to behave strangely.

He said the plane “shook violently with a loud bang,” since he was seated near the window he was able to break out of it and survive.

Bhora is currently receiving medical attention at Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital, said The Kathmandu Post.

He sustained head and leg injuries and has no recollection of what happened after he got out of the plane.
